Hey there. Malaysian here, so please excuse my bad English.
I usually (binge) reblog whatever tickles my fancy and any art or fanart of cartoons and anime/manga.

My tags are now wildly unarranged but have a go at the barest of semblance for tags on the left if you're browsing on PC! My fanarts can be found by searching, 'myshit.' with the fullstop. :D
I also lurk in reddit!
I am American and I have never seen photos like this. I had no idea there are borders like this. Even though I LOVE the idea of open borders, I am staring at these pictures like “wait…people can just…walk across some stones or grass and BE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY??? and nobody stops them?? how does that WORK?!” So you can tell that my country’s propaganda has gotten to me by convincing me that this CAN’T work even though…it…obviously can.
These pics just seem unreal to me. I’ve been taught my whole life that this can’t exist. In 27 years no one has ever sat me down and gone, look, here’s how it is elsewhere. It isn’t impossible at all.
I want to add something, but I’d just be restating what they said. I.. didn’t know peace and kindness like this was possible.
All of the above, and …
Why did the chicken cross the road?
To get to Belgium, apparently.

Some people really do forget that the United States is just 50 countries stacked inside of a trenchcoat. You guys have experienced this open border thing every time you’ve driven to another state to visit your family or attend a convention. The cultural differences between States can be staggering, and it is only the sheer unmitigated size of the USA that prevents us from casually experiencing Alabama culture one day and Massachusetts culture the next.
Aren’t there border checks when crossing from one state to another? At least with some borders?
A few and they’re only on some routes. The only one I’ve ever experienced was one where they stopped moving trucks coming into California (from Nevada) to make sure there wasn’t any fruit or animals in the back, because of ecological protection. They’re looking for invasive species.
